Helium USP

Helium is chemically inert and the least soluble of all gases in liquids. It has no color, odor or taste and is nonflammable. Helium is the second lightest element with a density one-seventh the density of air.

Medical Application

Gaseous helium is utilized in intra-aortic balloon pumps during myocardial infarction. Liquid helium is utilized extensively in MRI testing laboratories.
